Totoro hooded scarf pattern




I made it with a skein of a yarn called "creative big moments" by Rico Designs

I used 8mm needles

scarf:
CO 20
knit every row until you reach the desired lengh (my scarf is about 165cm)

hood: CO 75
row 1 - 4 : knit
row 5: k2tog, knit until you have only 2 stitches remaining on the needle, k2tog
row 6 - 10: knit
row 11: k2tog, knit until you have only 2 stitches remaining on the needle, k2tog
row 12 - 16: knit
row 17: k2tog, knit until you have only 2 stitches remaining on the needle, k2tog
row 18 - 20: knit
row 21: k2tog, knit until you have only 2 stitches remaining on the needle, k2tog
row 22 - 24: knit
row 25: k2tog,knit until you have only 2 stitches remaining on the needle , k2tog
row 26-28: knit
row 29: k2tog, knit until you have only 2 stitches remaining on the needle, k2tog
row 30: knit
row 31: k2tog, knit until you have only 2 stitches remaining on the needle, k2tog
row 32: knit
row 33: k2tog, knit until you have only 2 stitches remaining on the needle, k2tog
row 34: knit
row 35: k2tog, knit until you have only 2 stitches remaining on the needle, k2tog
row 36: knit
row 37: k2tog, knit until you have only 2 stitches remaining on the needle, k2tog
AT THE SAME TIME: When your work reaches 15 cm, decrease 1 stitch from the middle of the row, on each side. Do it 2 times every 4 rows, then 6 times every 2 rows.
then, divide your work in two sides (from the middle) and decrease at the "center" part 2 stitches 4 times every 2 rows.
then BO.

pockets (make 2):
CO 20 stitches
knit every row until you reach 20 cm.
then, sew it on the edges of the scarf

ears (make 4):
CO 5 stitches
row 1 - 2: knit
row 3: increase, knit until you reach the last stitch of the row, increase (7)
row 4: increase, knit until you reach the last stitch of the row, increase (9)
row 5: knit
row 6 : increase, knit until you reach the last stitch of the row, increase (11)
row 7: knit
row 8: k2tog, k7, k2tog (9)
row 9: knit
row 10: k2tog, k5, k2tog (7)
row 11 - 12: knit
row 13:k2tog, k3, k2tog (5)
row 14: knit
row 15: k2tog, k1, k2tog
row 16 - 18: knit
row 19: k3tog
BO
sew 2 pieces of ears to have a complete ear, and fill it with fiberfill ti create some dimension to the ears.

The eyes and nose are crocheted, but you can use felt too ;)

eyes (make 2)
with a 3mm crochet hook,
round1: with black, 6sc in MR
round 2: inc (12)
round 3: switch to white _ inc, sc (18)
round 4: inc, 2sc (24)
round 5 : inc, 3sc (30)

nose: with black, ch 7
sc in each ch, starting in the 2nd ch from hook.



CROCHET VERSION:
with a 8mm hook

Scarf:
ch 20, starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc 18, ch1, turn
*starting in 2nd ch from hook, 18sc, ch1, turn* until you reach the desired lengh.

  3. Oh je suis déçue :( J'ai trouvé ce patron grace à Ravelry mais il y était indiqué que c'était du crochet... et je ne fais pas de tricot. Dommage car c'est so cute.

      J'en ai déjà fait plusieurs exemplaires au crochet, je vais voir pour réécrire un patron !
